Stroke Drug Development Targeting AMPK

Stroke Drug Development Targeting AMPK

AMPK is able to regulate a variety of pathological processes such as oxidative stress, excitotoxicity, and neuroinflammation during a stroke. Studies have shown that targeting AMPK can effectively modulate stroke pathology, but the exact mechanism of action remains controversial. Ace Therapeutics offers comprehensive services to develop stroke drugs targeting AMPK. With our expertise and quality service system, we can ensure the successful completion of your study.

Screening of AMPK Modulators

Given the complex role of AMPK in stroke pathology, there is also a higher demand for developing stroke drugs based on AMPK. Therefore, Ace Therapeutics provides different screening platforms established for AMPK pathway targets to find potential stroke drug candidates.

  • Based on our ultra-large small molecule library, including compound library, natural product library, and fragment library, we have established different high-throughput screening platforms and target-based drug screening platforms for AMPK.
  • We have established experimental models of aberrant AMPK expression in vitro and in vivo through drug delivery and genetic manipulation to perform preliminary screening of AMPK regulators.

Preclinical Evaluation of Drug Candidates for the Treatment of Stroke

After the initial validation of the obtained drug candidates, Ace Therapeutics conducted more in-depth study services of the obtained drug candidates in screening to elucidate their specific efficacy and mechanism of action in stroke treatment.

  • We provide different in vitro and in vivo stroke models to evaluate the therapeutic efficacy of the drug candidates in stroke.
  • By PCR, ELISA, western blotting, and other techniques, we detect the effect of drug candidates on AMPK.
  • We screen genes or proteins associated with AMPK during a stroke by gene microarray and protein microarray techniques to screen for differential targets associated with AMPK during a stroke.
  • For genes or proteins closely related to AMPK during stroke pathology, we provide different qualitative, quantitative, and localization services to further explore the mechanisms by which drug candidates exert their pharmacological effects.
  • Given that AMPK regulates stroke pathology through a variety of pathological pathways including regulation of oxidative stress, autophagy, cell apoptosis, mitochondrial dysfunction, and neuroinflammation, we provide comprehensive services to explore the specific mechanisms of action of drug candidates on each pathological pathway in order to gain a comprehensive understanding of the specific mechanisms of action of drug candidates.
